Tree Spinach Seeds

Tree Spinach can grow up to 2 m tall if the plants are not cut for eating. The growing tips are almost sparkling and the fresh tips are bright magenta pink. Young leaves are great for adding to salads, while more mature leaves can be used like Spinach. It's related to Quinoa and the grains can be harvested and dried for use in baking.

Growing Info:
Sow under cover in Mar-Apr, do not exclude light as it aids the germination, which should take 2-3 weeks. Transplant into pots and grow on in cooler conditions until all risk of frost has passed. Alternatively sow directly outside in May, be careful to sow where they will not shade other edible plants.
Aftercare:
Cut back regularly if you wish to keep as a cut and come again salad crop. Cut back in late Summer before they set seed if you wish to avoid them selfseeding.
