| Common Name: | Black-Eyed Susan |
| Plant Type: | Half-Hardy Annual |
| Position: | Full Sun |
| Height: | 60cm |
| Spread: | 35cm |
| Growing Info: Sow inside between Feb-Apr in well-drained seed compost and cover lightly. Keep at 20°C for germination. If the seeds fail to germinate in 3-4 weeks, cold stratify in fridge for 4 weeks before returning to 20°C. Transplant seedlings once large enough to handle and plant out after after the risk of frost has passed. Alternatively sow directly outside in Apr-Jun in a well-prepared seedbed. |
|
| Aftercare: Deadhead spent flowers regularly to encourage further flowering. Protect young plants from frosts. |
