- Further Information
|Latin Name:||Raphanus sativus 'Longipinnatus'|
| Sowing/Flowering Info:
Sow June-Sep where they are to crop, 1.5cm deep in pre-watered, well-drained soil, rows 30cm apart. Gradually thin seedlings to 10cm apart, pulling up baby roots earlier to make room for larger roots to grow for later harvest. Sow every 2 weeks for continual supply in autumn. Requires full sun.
Lift all roots by the end of autumn, or before any hard frosts. Store in boxes of sand and use over the winter.
