  • Further Information
Common Name: Chinese Lantern Plant
Plant Type: Perennial
Position: Full Sun
Height: 75cm
Spread: 45cm
Growing Info:
Sow indoors Feb-May in moist, well-drained compost. Do not cover the seeds as light aids germination. Place in propagator or cover with polythene and place at 18-21°C. Once seedlings appear, remove the cover to increase air circulation. When large enough, transplant seedlings into individual pots. Acclimatise prior to planting out 60cm apart, when risk of frost has passed.
Aftercare:
Do not feed as this will encourage more foliage and less flowers and lanterns. May become invasive in a border. Dig out roots in autumn, or grow in a container.
