Latin Name: Pisum sativum
Plant Type:
Height: 60cm
Spread: 10cm
Sowing/Flowering Info:
Sow under cover Feb-March. Sow in modules, pots or guttering, 4-5cm deep in seed compost, and provide a cane or stick for seedling to climb up once germinated. Harden off before transplanting outside. Direct sow from March-June once the soil has warmed up. Sow in flat-bottomed drills, 5cm apart. Sow two seeds per sowing and thin out weaker seedling.
Aftercare:
Protect from birds with netting once the seedlings appear. Plants will require support to climb. Pea sticks or netting works well.
