Each stem bears up to eight small blooms that open one after the other, some are still in flower when tulips are out so they work well together in beds or containers. Plants aren't fully hardy, so choose a warm sheltered spot with moist but not waterlogged soil over the winter that dries out over the Summer. Will naturalise.
