- Further Information
Latin Name: | Coriandrum sativum |
Height: | 45cm |
Spread: | 20cm |
Growing Info: From March-June, sow a few seeds per 20cm pot, or sow in rows 30cm apart, 4cm between seeds. Sow 10mm deep in seed compost or fine soil. Keep well watered and do not allow soil to dry out. Best sown where plants are to grow, but protect seedlings and young plants from frosts. Sow every 3 weeks for fresh leaves all season. Sowing Aug-Sep under cover will provide coriander into winter. |
|
Aftercare: Snip off the leaves complete with stalks as required. May need protection from slugs. Keep picking leaves and remove flowers to encourage more growth and prevent plant running to seed. If you would like to harvest the seeds for cooking, leave plants to flower, and harvest Sep-Oct. |
