A bold plant grown for its foliage – this tender plants add real drama to the garden. Velvety deeply lobed ruffled leaves of dark purple with bright magenta centres and occasional hints of lime green. With a bushy habit, they are ideal for containers and as border fillers between other plants.

Sowing/Flowering Info:
Sow under cover Jan-Mar into trays or modules of moist seed compost. Lightly cover the seeds with a fine layer of compost or vermiculite. Cover the modules or trays with glass or polythene until seeds emerge and then uncover. After first true leaves appear transplant into individual pots to grow on. Gradually harden plants and plant out after risk of frost has passed.
Aftercare:
Pinch out tips of young plants to encourage bushier growth. Remove flowers spike as they emerge to encourage more colourful foliage.
