  • Further Information
Common Name: Cornflower
Plant Type: Annual
Height: 60cm
Spread: 20cm
Sowing/Flowering Info:
March-May, sow in-situ outdoors in drills just 3-4mm deep. Alternatively, sow in pots or seed trays on the surface of moist seed compost and cover very finely with compost or vermiculite. Transplant or thin out to 15cm between plants. Can be sown under cover August-Sep and overwintered for stronger plants the following spring.
Aftercare:
Cut flowers for taking in the house and deadhead regularly to extend the flowering season. No need for feeding as this will encourage foliage rather than flowers.
