Statice with strong stems and flowers which can be enjoyed fresh and dried, this annual is a useful plant in a summer border or cutting garden. It is easy to grow and will flower continuously though the summer months. Grow in sunny borders and containers.

Growing Info: Sow under glass Feb-April. Surface sow onto good seed compost and cover with just a thin layer of vermiculite or sprinkling of soil. Keep at 18-24°C for germination. Transplant seedlings and grow on in pots at cooler temperatures until frosts have finished. Acclimatise to outdoor temperatures before planting out in the garden.
Aftercare: A low maintenance plant that just requires deadheading or regular flower cutting to extend the flowering time.

Seeds came quickly, ordered on the Monday night after 9.30pm (after a talk at the local Gardenig Club -a very enthusiastic speaker Ed Flint about sowing annuals in the Autumn instead of Spring).
