Loose-leaf, Italian lettuce, with copper-burgundy edged, frilly leaves. Can be harvested whole or used as a cut-and-come-again lettuce by just harvesting the outer leaves, and leaving the plant to grow. Prefers partial shade rather than full sun.

Growing Info: Sow sparingly March-August in drills 1.5cm deep in a well prepared seedbed. An early sowing outdoors may need frost protection with a cloche. Can also be started earlier inside in modules and planted out after the risk of frosts has passed. Thin to 30cm between plants. Suitable for succession sowing to have a continuous supply throughout the Summer.
Aftercare: Sow small regular amounts to ensure a continues supply of fresh lettuce for up to 6 months.
