A conical, uniform, nantes-type carrot, with smooth intensely coloured dark purple skin and purple centre. The bold colour and sweet flavour combine to make this a fine choice of carrot. Strong disease resistance. This carrot keeps its bold colour once cooked too.

Spread:	10cm
Growing Info: Sow sparingly in rows from April-May, 30-45cm between rows. The seed bed should be prepared to a fine tilth and weed-free. Can be grown in pots and under glass for a longer cropping season. Carrots do not like freshly manured soil. Keep moist until germinated and water well regularly.
Aftercare: Thin out young seedlings to 8cm between each young plant. Feed carrots when 8-10cm tall and again at 12-15cm tall.

I recently purchased a selection of seeds from Stocks and Green. They arrived after a few days and were well packaged.
