Grown as an ornamental perennial rather than a herb, this impressive plant adds beautiful contrast with its striking leaves, which finely veil other surrounding plants, allowing an occasional glimpse through. Flat yellow flowerheads appear from July to August. Its aromatic and tactile foliage make it ideal for a sensory garden.

Growing Info: Sow in-situ March-May, or a fortnight before the last frost. Sow 10mm deep with 30cm spacing between plants. Keep at 15-18°C. If weather unexpectedly turns cold, young plants may need extra protection under cloches. Keep watered during dry periods. Plant should keep flowering throughout the summer.
Aftercare: May self-seed freely. To prevent this, remove the flowers regularly.

I recently purchased a selection of seeds from Stocks and Green. They arrived after a few days and were well packaged. I have been gardening for over 50 years and this year our garden has had a major overhaul so needed lots of plants to fill it. I hope by next Spring the seeds will have germinated and will thrive bringing lots of colour. I haven’t used the white pen as yet and would rather review when it’s been used and outside for a few weeks. My other pens though permenant are not !! Love the size of the labels.
