Plant en masse in borders or under trees and shrubs to be rewarded by a delightful show of large, bowl shaped flowers in shades from deep violet to indigo blue with striking black centres. Known as the Florists' Anemone, they make excellent cut flowers to enjoy in the home as well as garden. In colder areas, they will need to be protected with a deep mulch. Will naturalise.
Growing Info: Plant under cover in autumn for early Spring blooms. Alternatively plant outside in March-April for flowers in June & July. Soak dry corms in water overnight, then plant 5-8cm deep 10-15cm apart
